7 years ago today…

My wonderful grandmother left this world to be with Jesus.

That morning there was beautiful sunshine and after she passed away the sky cried for her.  She was one of the most amazing, God-filled women I have ever known.  She was my best friend and I miss her every single day.

Do you know what will happen to you when you die?  Will you go on to Heaven as one of Jesus’ faithful followers or will you be condemned to hell?  Getting into Heaven isn’t as easy as some people think.  Getting into Heaven has nothing to do with karma, your good deeds, or how ‘good’ you are in life.

One of the biggest comforts I have in my grandma’s death is that I know she went to Heaven because she had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  She knew and believed that He died for her sins and, in doing so, redeemed her.  His death bought her way in to Heaven and all she had to do was accept His gift.  Have you accepted His gift?  If not, I strongly encourage you to ask Nathan or I about Jesus and the gift He has for you.  We would be happy to share our faith and help you get plugged into a church, whether it’s our own or another…

I look forward to seeing my grandma again in Heaven, and my biggest prayer is that we’ll see you there too!

It’s the end of a decade…

What are your highlights and low points of the last decade? Share in comments below…

Highlights for me: Meeting and Marrying Nathan. The purchase of our home. The birth of our beautiful niece, Gwen. Strengthening of old friendships and the beginning of new ones. All of our travel. Going back to school.

Low points: Losing my Grandma and Elliott were the hardest and lowest points.
