This is my first temperature and date/time data logger built with Arduino. I am using 4 DS18B20 temperature sensors along with a I2C EEPROM.

President’s Day Snow Storm
In the past 24 hours we have gotten about 6″-8″ of snow fall, which is a respectable snow fall. But it has been quite windy causing major drifting. Because of all of the warm weather lately we there had been a lot of melting. Well the melting froze into to ice which snow tends to not stick to….which leads us to the drifting. Our driveway has drifting up to about 26″ inches which has kept Amy and I home all day. Jim and I were hoping to go snowboarding to enjoy all the fresh powder, but without being able to get out of the drive way our plan got hosed. Normally our snow clearing provided has our drive way clear within 6 hours of the snow, this storm is the first time we have actually waited almost 24 hours for any kind of drive way clearing. Due to the depth of the snow I have not even tried to shovel it. Along with the fact that the wind is still blowing so my shoveling would likely be useless within 8 hours. The 2 hours of work would not be worth it.

S10 Owner Again!
I am proud to say that the Lord has blessed Amy and I with the ability to purchase a second daily driver. Since she would be starting school soon, and she would need to be driving to Arden Hills a couple times a week car pooling was not going to be an effective use of our time anymore. I had been casually watching the S10/Sonoma market over the past couple of months, and during our hike on the Inca trail we realized we needed to make this step. Upon returning from Peru I started the hunt for Red October that ended on January 31st when I found our new 2003 S10. The price was little more than I wanted to spend, but it had all the options we were looking for; 4 cylinder, extended cab, and a manual transmission. As a bonus it had the 3rd door, CD-player, and larger than stock set of tires on it. Despite being a bit high in the miles, 193k, it drives like a champion and I am confident that I will be able to keep it going another 100k miles.

Greetings, I am 2003 s10. I sport a 4 cylinder engine, manual transmission, and an extended cab to accomodate all your transportation needs.

Baby Shower fun!
Polly and I have been busy!!! We are throwing Jessica her first baby shower this Sunday. Between menu planning, paper products, groceries, prizes, and games we’ve been keeping busy! We are so excited to do this for Jessica. We also find some killer gifts for her and can hardly wait for her to see them on Sunday!
We also have double the fun this weekend because Julie’s baby shower is on Saturday! It is so crazy that two of my best friends are due within 3 weeks of each other. I look forward to meeting my friend’s babies and seeing the awesome Children of God they will grow up to be!
