I Graduated
It is with great pride today that I announce I have officially completed by Bachelors Degree of Science in Marketing from Saint Mary’s University. Yesterday I participated in the graduation ceremony for my family as I am not a ceremonial kind of person. Below Amy and I are pictured with my degree (tan parchment paper with gold seal), and the recognition I received for best undergraduate paper on my team’s senior project. My two colleagues and I were recognized during the ceremony for our achievement.
I want to specifically thank Amy for all of her support over the past two years as I have completed my bachelors. I could not have done it without her love and support.

Life Is Good
I spent my day off today diagnosing a bad fuel pressure regulator on the Cadillac. Looks like we may start getting better fuel economy now besides not having the occasional stall. Amy spent her day at work.
I made us some delicious spicy chicken with rice, and then we retired to a movie. Now I am studying more about Arduino on how to make the temperature monitoring tool I want to build as Amy practices on her guitar. She is playing her first real song…she is awesome.

First Arduino Project
Last night I finished assembling my first Freedunio Arduino. Since I pretty much only have the parts for the Arduino, there was not much I could build on the project side. That aside I built a blinking light that also report out via serial-usb how many times the light had blinked. The video below shows this amazing light blinking and information being reported to a terminal window.
Arduino is electronics protoyping platform for hobbyist interested in creating interactive objects or environments. In plain english, it is a platform for creating electronics and writing software for the hardware.
