I haven’t seen Sophia since around Christmas time. Been super busy with school and vacations and carpooling makes it really tough to get out to her house. I feel really bad about this, every time I’ve tried to pick a date to hang out with her though something comes up.
Kim, Elliott’s widow and mother of Sophia, came into the office today. She pulls a little sheet of paper out that Sophia had written in school. It’s a prayer sheet and she filled in the blanks. The first blank was naming her role model and she put me, Amy. Then the prayer goes on to pray for her role model and that they’ll be a good one and show Sophia how to be a good person, etc.
I feel so fricken bad. Been wrapped up in my own world way to much and haven’t made time for her lately. Shame on me 
So I set up a playdate with her mom. She’s coming over on Wednesday next week. It’ll be a good time, we’ll eat dinner, play Wii, and catch up.
don’t be too hard on yourself Amy! Adults get busy, we both learned that growing up. You’re still a large part of her life…… have you seen that pic my sis has of something Noveya drew? Heart breaking!!!!! BUT children don’t understand commitments and such, they do when they’re older. Be all you can be to here and now, at least you are making an effort instead of nothing at all!
