Alfred Hitchcock’s Notorious

I am taking a film class on Hitchcock this semester. Just finished watching my second Hitchcock film, Notorious, (first was The 39 Steps in class yesterday) and am in awe.

First Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman- hello- amazing on screen chemistry. It was like they were really meant to be together, that they should be together.

The camera work in this movie was amazing. I don’t even know how to describe it (even though I just typed a 4 page paper on it, lol). The angles, shots, and movement Hitchcock uses is so artful. It builds up the suspense in the perfect ways. It shows emotion that one wouldn’t otherwise feel.

I always thought his films were horror stuff. I was so wrong and I’ve missed out on so much by not seeing his work. I am very much looking forward to the next 6 movies of his I get to watch!!!

School work, oh school work…

Ruler of my Sunday’s you are
Taker of my sanity, keeper of my time
Filling me with wisdom and
Silly thoughts in rhyme
Contemplating thoughts you give me
Stupidity you take
Many things are learned in this twist of fate

I really should stop joking around and get back to my paper, lol…

Nathan was right…

Drella, the harpist on Gilmore Girls, also plays Miss Celine, the Gilmore family’s stylist. This transformation is aided by a fat suit and lots of make-up. They definitely fooled me!!!

Nathan was the one that noticed and I for sure thought he was wrong. IMDB proved him right…

Craving change…

I am craving change. I love the changes that have come with school, but I need more. I think that’s part of my motivation to climb out of my box.

I wish breaking out of my box wasn’t so hard though. Can someone please just pick up my box and dump me out of it? Packing peanuts and all…

On second thought, don’t. I can manage. Nothing’s that worth doing comes for free. Pain, discomfort, and all I will eventually manage to unbox my life…
