Back from the Big Apple- Our 1st Day

Jess, Kristie, and I had a fantastic time!!!

Thursday Jess and I arrived at our hotel around noon. Our room wasn’t ready so we headed down to Grand Central Station and ate lunch at Junior’s in their food court area. As we were eating the hotel called and said our room was ready so we headed back to the wonderful Waldorf Astoria.

We checked in. Our room was a normal hotel sized room with marble bath and beautiful decor. In the 1200+ rooms at the Waldorf not a single one has the same decor, kinda cool. We got unpacked and settled and headed out!

Off to The New York Public library to see the stairwell they shot Sex and the City the movie in then off to Times Square we went to pick up our City Passes (good for admission at 40+ locations throughout NYC). We proceeded through Times Square and a few of their stores then we decided to walk up the world famous Fifth Avenue. We picked and chose the stores we went into being as some of the window displays cost more than we make in an entire year, lol… Checked out the Apple Store and the Pullitzer fountain then headed back to our hotel to rest a bit and get ready for the night.

We had dinner reservations at an Italian Place off Broadway, Trattoria Trecolori. Wonderful dinner and dessert! Jess had the chicken Parm, I had some tortellini straw and hat type thing. Mine was a bit bland but still good. We shared tiramisu for dessert, so num!!! After dinner we walked the couple blocks to the Gershwin Theatre where we saw Wicked. Which coincidentally was soooo WICKED! It was amazingly awesome and I highly suggest everyone to see it!!!

After Wicked we headed back to our hotel and Kristie was there waiting for us!!! Her train got in while our show was going, we left a key at the front desk for her… It was so great to see her and get a Kristie hug and catch up!!!

Friday was a filled day… More later.

Nathan’s Home!!!

Nathan got back yesterday! I picked him up from the airport around 4pm and we headed home. We spent the evening looking through his pictures, unpacking for him, packing for me, and we cuddled and watched a bit of tv. He’s home!!! I’m so happy.

The only sad part is I only have 3 nights with him until I head to New York with Jess but on the bright side I’m going to NYC!!! I spent a little time tweaking our itinerary today. If I remember I’ll post it on here so everyone can see what we’re up to :-)

Update

Nathan is in Mysore India right now. He had fun getting out there, it was a several hour drive and they made lots of stops on the way…

Tonight I’m going to Tarah and Adam’s wedding then after heading down to my mom’s ‘cabin’. It’ll be me, Samantha, my mom, Gwen, and my cousin Hannah down there for the weekend.

I’ll come home Sunday morning to get the house cleaned up and ready for Nathan! He lands at 3:35pm on Sunday! I could not be more excited :-)

Missing Nathan

I am missing Nathan soooo much.  I didn’t think it would be this bad.  It feels like part of me is missing.  But he’s in India!  And I would never want to deny him that experience so I’m glad he’s gone…  But I’ll be sooo happy when he’s home on Sunday :-)

He’s tired and there’s lots of work to do there but I think he’s enjoying it. It’s not too hot out there right now and he’s enjoying the food. His work day is from 10am-6pm and it’s weird for him to work those hours. He’s used to going in much, much earlier.

Friday night him, Rani, and two of their Indian co-workers are going to the Mysore Palace, they’ll spend the night out there. I am so excited to hear about it and see pictures!!!

In the mean time I’ve been having fun with Polly and she’s making Nathan’s absence a lot easier. Saturday night we had our own little dance party at home! We’ve been making lots of tasty dinners and just chilling. Last night we took a walk and tonight Jessica is coming over to hang too.

I’m having trouble sleeping without Nathan. I’m just so used to his presence and the safety I feel when I’m with him. Without him there it’s weird…

Anywho, 5 more nights and he’ll be home! I am sooo excited for that. The only sucky part is we only have 4 nights together before I jet off to New York… Oh well.
