We had a most excellent 4th weekend!!!
Friday night we had dinner at El Loro in Eagan and debated about what we wanted to do Saturday. We couldn’t decide if we wanted to drive out to Menomonie with Kevin and his brother or not… Around 8pm Kevin called and asked for a ride out there so that sealed the deal
Picked Kev up around 9:30 and headed out. Got to Steve’s house around 11pm and we had a few then walked to the local beer house. Was a good time.
Saturday got up and went to go to the bathroom and like a typical college guys house there was no TP!!! Walked throughout the house looking for napkins, paper towels, or kleenex- yeah, none. Finally left and went to the local grocery store to relieve myself and pick up donuts for breakfast and rum punch for our river raft ride.
Upon returning everyone set out to get ready for a game of Disc Golf. Headed to the local park and they had Menomonie’s freedom days set up, we took part in that. Had some mediocre cheese curds and an eh gyro. Played half of the 18 holes- they were HUGE holes! Then headed out to pick up our rafting tubes and get stuff ready for our river adventure.
About 3pm we were on the river for the 3 mile ride. It was a bit chilly and cloudy and the water was cold but it ended up being fun. Our rum punch fared extremely well and was delish!!! The 2 gallons was gone by the time we reached the car 4 hours after we started.
We headed out to the Waterfront Bar for dinner around 9pm. I love Menomonie- you can walk pretty much everywhere!!! Had some dinner then Nathan and I decided to head home. As we walked back to Steve’s the fireworks were going off over the lake, it was a pretty walk.
Sunday we were lazy. I slept in and we watched some movie’s and took a nap. Nathan made the most delicious bacon ever for our nummy lunch of BLT’s. He grilled it over the open flame of our charcoal grill, delish!!!
Not much else going on. Today I am in severe pain and have a horrible headache. I think my back and neck are out due to all our mountain biking lately. My normal Chiro is all booked up today and is out the rest of the week for a funeral so I’m heading to Polly’s old work, Acu-Chiropractic in a few to get fixed up!
