Another Christmas

Well another Christmas has come to pass! We had a wonderful time with my family on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning breakfast! My mom gave us a camping/hiking GPS. We're so excited to try it out this summer. We took it with us snowboarding this past weekend and it was cool to see it map out the trails we rode.

This past weekend I spent mostly painting! My back hurts a lot but it was worth it. Jessica and Tyler got their house and they wanted to paint before moving in. So we did a beigish/neutral color throughout all their common areas, one bathroom, and their bedroom and 2 red accent walls- 1 in the kitchen and 1 in their bedroom. It was fun but with the vaulted ceilings and custom colors (needing multiple coats) it took a lot of manpower!!!

Saturday I'll be heading back over there to help her unpack :-)

Tomorrow is our 3 year annniversary! I can't believe the years have flown so dang quickly!!! We're going to go look at snowboarding helmets at REI and go to dinner at Redstone in Eden Prairie.

No plans for New Year's Eve yet, I'm thinking we might just stay in unless we get a few people that might want to go to a local bar, guess we'll see.

A week from Wednesday we leave for Colorado to stay with Julie and Adam!!! We are so pumped, it's gonna be a great time…

Happy New Year everyone!

Celine Dion

Well peeps!!! One of my dreams came true tonight! Jess and I saw Celine Dion live in concert right here in the Twin Cities at the Target Center!!!

It was absolutely amazingly awesomely wonderful. Her voice, her passion, her love for her career is so apparent in every single song she performed.

After the first song I was kind of teary eyed just because of her voice and hearing her live and I felt kind of retarded but didn't care. I turned to Jess and she was teary eyed too, it was a funny moment that only 2 true Celine Dion fans could share.

I know this all probably sounds really corny but it was just so amazing. Her voice live is even better than her studio produced albums. Very rarely do you ever come across a singer that can actually sing better live than on their albums.

Celine Dion- You rocked our world tonight and we very much look forward to your next visit to Minnesota. Thank you for your passionate performance filled with your amazing voice!

One of your biggest MN fans,

Amy

I got my Macbook!!!

Thursday last week we went to the Apple Store and looked at comps and pretty much made our decision on what we were buying me. Friday night we went back and made our purchase!!!

I got the new Macbook, the lower model one in the aluminum finish. It is so sexy looking and easy to use. Nathan spent most of Saturday moving my PC stuff over to it. And I spent most of Sat night and Sunday playing with it and getting used to OSX.

I was finally able to take the ugly huge computer and monitor off my desk in the loft. Now I have a huge wireless printer ($30 with rebate) there instead and my sexy macbook.

Anywho, I'm really excited, can ya tell???

This morning I ordered my school books for next semester, eek, can you say expensive??? But if they have used books available they'll substitute those and it'll make it a little cheaper, so here's to hoping for mostly if not all used books!!!

I am so, so excited for school to start!!! It's going to be a totally awesome semester and I hope it goes really well.

Anywho, I also finished all our Christmas shopping this weekend and I am officially broke (especially after the purchase of Macbook and school books). But that's ok. Don't really have much to purchase in the next week except gas.

Hope everyone's having a great December! I am looking forward to Christmas and then our Colorado trip, it is going to be so, so much fun!!!

Back to school for us we go!

Well Nathan and I are both registered for the spring semester! Me at Inver Hills to work on my A.A. degree, I'll be going full time- 2 classes every 8 weeks. Hoping to get my AA done in 2 years- but we'll see how this semester goes, if I take on too much I might burn out. The nice thing is most of my classes will be on the Apple Valley Inver Hills campus- only 10 min from home!!!

Nathan's registered at St. Mary's. He was told that if he does one class at a time year round he'll finish his bachelor's in 2 years!!! So amazing!

Nathan's first class is January 5 and my first online english class starts Jan 12 and my General Psych class starts Jan 14! I'm excited it should be fun.

This weekend I think we're going to go get me a new Macbook. They have a 6 month interest free credit card so I can pay it off over 6 months. Spendy but Apple's are worth it and with 2 online classes this semester I really, really need a comp that works…
