Vegas is coming…

Only 4 more weeks and I'll be 25 and we'll be in Vegas!!! I am so excited! The past few weeks have been filled with research and making sure we're prepared for our trip out there!

We have tickets to Cirque de Soleil O and also to Lance Burton! Kinda spendy at $355 for all tix but really not too bad. My mom bought us our Cirque tickets as Nathan's and my birthday presents, a little bit of it is from Christmas too, so that covers the spendy O tickets.

I've been trying to figure out restaurants to eat at so far I'm interested in RumJungle, Mon Ami Gabi, and Emeril's Delmonico steak house. I'm thinking we'll go to one of em on my birthday and another on a different night and skip one of em. The rest of the time we'll do buffets and hopefully hit up Baja Fresh for my delicious salad and I heard there's an In n Out burger there which is one of the fast food places we missed in Cali last January…

Kevin is planning on driving out from Cali for Sunday-Tuesday I believe, I think Stacey is going to fly out to Cali and drive over with him. It'd be fun to have another couple with for part of the week.

Anywho, not much else going on. Last weekend I went up north with Amanda, Nathan's boss, and a couple of her friends that I've met a few times. It was a fun weekend. We stayed downtown Duluth and visited Gooseberry Falls and Canal Park. Nathan did some Pheasant hunting with my brother while I was gone.

This weekend no plans except to clean the house and Nathan's mom is going to help me with my Halloween Rainbow Brite costume :-)

Shooting- I rock :-)

Last week my mom bought a new shotgun. You see my work has a shooting team. Every Thursday they go to the firing range in Rosemount and shoot 2 rounds. 25 rounds each time, shooting at 25 clay pigeons. My mom didn't do so well last week and wanted some practice.

So she invited Nathan and I out to the range yesterday and we proceeded to shoot 4 rounds. Well, we found out that I rock :-) I was using Elliott's 20guage shotgun (Thanks Elliott!) and I shot better than my mom and Nathan all 4 rounds and the real kicker is I've only shot Nathan's shotgun- maybe 3 times in all the years he's had it, like literally only 3 shots… First round I got 10/25, 2nd and 3rd rounds I got 20/25- so totally awesome!!! Third round my shoulder was really hurting and I got 16/25. Anywho, my mom was getting so frustrated that I was doing so well but I think she was proud of me at the same time. Nathan was really proud of me :-)

Anywho, that was our shooting adventure. I had a really, really good time and can't wait to go back. Too bad it's like the end of the nice shooting season here… Oh well.

It's been a long time…

Hey all!! It's been a while since I updated so here we go…

The weekend of September 20 we had houseguests! Jim came over to help Nathan remove my sucky, broken engine and replace it with the new salvaged engine! They arrived Saturday morning and he brought Gwen and Olivia with. They spent all day working on it and around 9pm they decided to just spend the night and they stayed all day Sunday working on it. It was so much fun to have Gwen and Olivia around and chill with O and play with G. We ate lots of food and played at the park and watched a few movies. It was a good family bonding weekend =]

September 27 was Nathan's birthday!!! Friday, the 26th we met up with a bunch of friends and headed downtown to The Shout House to ring in his 24th bday with style! We got there around 9pm and stayed till 1am when we had to leave to catch the last light rail back to the MOA. Once we got back to MOA Ryan dropped us and Stacey off at IHOP where we ate some delicious breakfast then walked back to our car and headed home. Stacey stayed the night and we drove her back to her car in the AM.

Saturday, Nathan's big day, we kind of just chilled at home. I made us french toast and bacon for breakfast and we worked on getting the bumper on my car back together. We met up with his parents for dinner at Chili's around 7. Headed home after and watched a movie together. We kept it pretty low key, which was what he wanted. Plus we'll be in Vegas in 6 weeks and we gotta watch our $'s so we have $'s to spend there.

Sunday, we detailed my car! Nathan took the claybar to the whole thing and it almost looks like new. I wiped down the inside and that does look like new. I just have to vacuum it out. We went to Famous Dave's for Nathan's birthday meal from me, it was sooooo delicious!!! We don't eat there that often but everytime we do we're reminded that we should eat there more often, lol…

This weekend we're heading up to Stacey's on Saturday night for some Booya and Booze. Her family has an annual Booya party. We're pretty excited. Plus Kevin will be in town and be up there also so that's a big bonus.

Next weekend I'm going up north with Amanda and a couple of her girlfriends. I'm excited but kinda nervous. Never been out of town with any other ladies other than family and my normal girls group. But it should be pretty fun. We're heading up Friday morning and we'll be doing some siteseeing, hiking, and restauranting :-) Haven't gotten the final details yet so don't know if it's for sure set in stone and I guess things could change but we'll see…

Hope all is well with everyone!
