My car is driving me insane!!! I cannot stand the fact that it's being such a freaking piece of sh!t and it won't just freaking fix itself!!!
Everytime we think we've found the problem we get the parts, get them installed and it DOESN'T WORK!!! I know Nathan is probably extremely more upset and frustrated by it than me being as him and his brother have done most of the labor on my car, I feel so bad for them that my car is being so annoyingly retarded.
SERIOUSLY!?!?! WTF is up with the stupid yellow monster sitting in our garage?
Between the 4-days stuck in Danville, the car shop repairs down there, my brother coming down to pick us up from Danville, and the re-doing of the head up here we've spent more than $2000!!! Plus we just spent another $300 in parts this past weekend. And now it looks like I might need a new car computer which is $200-300.
What is up with this??? I feel like we're being punished for some unknown thing and that's why my car is being so difficult…
Anywho, just venting, so, so frustrated!!! Especially with the $ we're losing just by not being able to drive the stupid thing, the gas mileage for my car is way better than the stupid Cadillac and that's what we're stuck driving these days, I HATE IT!!! I hate the Cadillac and want my stupid car to run again.
But the bummer side is I'll never really trust my car again. For my car to have 'betrayed' us on the level it did is just unforgiveable. No more are the days where my car can be used for road trips. So even though I do want it running again, it's just for stuff within Minnesota. Anything outside of MN we'll have to rent a car for.
Thank you stupid Cavalier for ruining our trust in you and costing us infinitely more money than we ever planned on spending on you…

Hello friends!!!
Lately we've been playing a lot of disc golf! I really love it! It's so much fun, though my competitive side sometimes has a hard time always losing to Nathan, but oh well. He has a lot more arm strength and it normally takes my first two throws to catch up with his first throw. My putting is getting to be pretty good though! I love taking the scooter when we play, it's so much fun enjoying the ride behind Nathan plus we save so much gas!!!
This past weekend we went to the State Fair, it was so much fun to just eat and walk and eat and walk. I got a really cute black flower necklace at the new international bazaar, I really love it!
Saturday night I picked Jess up on the scooter and we went to Kaitlyn's (Nikki's youngest) 3rd birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese! It was so wonderful to see all her family again, lots of them I hadn't seen since Jessica's wedding, so crazy when 5 years ago I spend several nights a week over at their house.
Car update!: Nathan figured out what's wrong with my car!!! YAY! He's picking up the replacement parts today and I hope and pray to the dear Lord up above that these parts will finally fix the problem and my car will be running again!!! Nathan's Cadillac is just way to expensive to drive, I need the 27-30mpg comfort of my car back! Soon, hopefully!
Just 10 more days til the girls trip to visit Kristia in Chicago!!! So exciting!
Anywho, not much else going on. This weekend we are going to Taylor's Falls with some friends to rent canoes for the day and Saturday night we're going to The Shout House for another friends birthday, should be pretty fun! Sunday we'll be recuperating and Monday is our 7 year anniversary! I cannot believe it's been 7 years since our 1st date, so crazy!!!

We both passed our motorcycle license test today!!! Yes! It was so much easier than I thought. We both did really well. It was so helpful to watch the people before us go. There were 6 of us today and 5 of us were doing our tests on scooters, the one lady that did hers on her big 'hog' failed, she didn't even make it halfway through the test… Bummer.
Anywho, we can ride on the bike together now!!!

So I'm finally learning to save and I LOVE it!!! It's so fun to see my savings account grow and know that $ is being put away for all our traveling we want to do, cause that's pretty much what my savings is for… But I've learned the more you save, the more you want to save!!! I'm loving going through my monthly bills and seeing where I can cut back (Honey- do you really need that $20/month internet on your cell phone, can't we go back to the $6/month? lol) so that I can add even more to savings!!!
Anywho… I know we can't cut back on everything, but I'm working on it
We'll still go to the occasional movie and of course we wouldn't skip the State Fair coming up in a week here. But we're trying to cut back. Probably do a little less eating out and a little more eating in. Also this year we'll be cutting back on how much we spend for Christmas/birthday gifts. I've discovered one of the easiest ways for me to save is to just not go to any stores! And if I do have to go to Target I go with a specific list and cannot buy anything off of that list!
Next month Jess, Polly, and I are going to visit Kristie!!! Best part about it is cause there's 3 of us in Jessica's gas conserving Cavalier we should be able to do the trip for less than $100/each!!! So great! So excited to see her place and church and their life down there. Plus we're gonna eat at Baja Fresh! So exciting!!!
But yeah, that's my update for now. Still working out the details for our MX trip, found our resort, just need to see if I can find airfare cheaper than the $1k we're looking at paying!!! I'll have to keep watching it! The nice thing is Orbitz has a 'price assurance' and if anyone else buys the airfare through them for cheaper they'll mail me a check for the difference once the trip is complete…
Oh yeah, update on my car… It's still not working! Nathan and Matthew got it running for about 2 minutes on Sat night and then it died and they haven't been able to get it started again. I think they're working on it more again this weekend!!! I hope it won't need too many more expensive parts! I don't want to spend any more $ on that thing!!!! We've already spent $2000+ on it since May!!! So, hopefully it'll be a cheap fix, whatever the problem is… And I sure hope they can fix it and we don't have to junk it like Nathan's talking about possibly doing. I really don't want another car with a car payment. I LOVE being car payment free. But I guess that might just be what we have to do…
