Hola!

Good afternoon my friends!!!

We had a wonderful weekend camping. It was fun to just chill and not have to deal with technology (except our cell phones) and peoples. We got to Banning State Park on Friday and were all set up by 3pm. We went for a bit of a hike and discovered most of the trails consist of foot high grass and loads and loads of squitos!!! It was horrible! After hiking for a bit we decided to head back to camp and make dinner and chill by the fire.

Saturday we went for another hike to Wolf Creek Falls. Again, braving the tick infested grasses. The falls were pretty but nothing spectacular.

Wow, I feel bad, this post is coming off so negative. We really did have a good time but it was just frustrating that the bugs were so bad and the trails weren't that great. We will definitely be trying another campground next time. We'll also be bringing our bikes with and picking a place with mountain biking trails. Should make it more interesting :-)

This weekend we're having our annual girls camping weekend, I'm so excited for that!!! And only 2 weeks from Friday for our South Dakota trip- yay!!!

Not much else going on. I'm off to the Saints Game for a work event tonight. Hitching a ride home with Rob after so I don't have to bike or stay the night at my mom's. :-D

So far biking home is going well. Over the past 5 weeks I've only driven to work 1 day each week and I've biked home 2 days each week. The other days I've either gotten a ride from Rob or Jessica or Nathan have picked me up. It's been quite nice! I'm saving the moola's and getting $'s ready to pay for the repairs on my car. It's gotta be fixed soon, so hopefully Nathan can find the parts soon!!!

Anywho, toodles!

Hello my Peeps!!!

Ahhh, so excited for camping this weekend!!! It's just a few days away. Can't wait, it's going to be so much fun. I've got all our food and menu planned out and we just need to pack everything up tomorrow night and we'll be on our way Friday at noon!

Anywho, had a good night last night. Chilled with Polly for a few hours and we got our Mike's and adult beverages for our girls camping trip next weekend. I'm so excited about that trip too.

Yesterday I also got to go to lunch with Kristie and Jonathan, they'd just gotten home from their honeymoon the day before. It was so great to see them and their honeymoon pics. They had a fantastic time in Mexico!!! I ended up driving them back to Kristie's parents house after because K's dad's truck broke down on the way to meet me for lunch, oops… Oh well, no biggie :-) I was glad I could help.

They should be in their new hometown of Hoffman Estates, IL by now. Hope the drive went well!

Not much else going on…

Mountain Biking…

is so much fun!!! Nathan and I biked the 8 miles to Lebanon Hills mountain biking area and we spent 1.5hrs doing some seriously strenuous mountain biking. While it was a lot of hard work it was so much fun!!!

Whenever we took a break we'd laugh and make fun of our $80 Target bikes while everyone passed us on their $500+ Erik's Bike Shop bikes, kinda funny. It's ok though cause we are getting our money's worth to the extreme on these bikes! Hopefully next summer we can upgrade and get something more in line with our new biking hobby :-)

We're off to some camping this weekend!!! I'm so excited! We went to Gander and Fleet Farm this past weekend and picked up the rest of our stuff off of our 'camping essentials' list. After this weekend we'll know if there's anything else we need to pick up for our South Dakota camping trip in 3 weeks :-D

I'm thinking we still need a bigger and better cooler, but we'll see how our cheap one fares this weekend… Thanks to my mom who provided us with a lot of her old gear :-) , a lantern, hot dog/mallow roasters, dishes, and a kettle for heating our dish water in :-)

Can't believe summer is here, it really doesn't totally feel like it! I want it to be super hot out, but oh well, I'm sure it'll get there.

Feeling a little better…

Last night I worked off some of my frustrations by biking 16 miles :-) It helped a bit and Nathan was there too for part of the ride so that was fun. I love just spending time with him and our weird quirky jokes and life we have together, lol.

Anywho, hope everyone is having a good Tuesday. Still dealing with the 'anger' people from yesterday but hopefully it gets resolved soon…

And thanks Julie for caring!!! It helped to unload a bit…
