Bummer…

After discussion with Nathan, Polly, and Mike we all came to the conclusion we can't go on our much anticipated spring snowboarding trip to Colorado… We were going to drive out and visit/snowboard with friends of ours- Julie and Adam. I didn't budget properly and $ for us is kind of tight after Christmas and our recent California trip and Mike and Polly were thinking of trying to go somewhere warm instead…

Hopefully next year, but guess we'll see…

On a brighter note I'm going to Florida for free again in April!!! In November my mom and I went down to our bosses condo and did some work, it was supposed to be a work/relaxing trip- well it ended up being an ALL work trip (this trip was 'free' too- though my work down there pretty much paid for it, lol).

So the boss bought me another plane ticket to go with my mom and Aunt Kim as a thank you for all my previous hard work!!! Pretty nice thank you gift I think… So free lodging and airfare- you can't beat that :-D

Anywho, hope everyone's having a good week. I'm excited that Friday is almost here!!!

Life…

Can be so frustrating sometimes. I've been in a roller coaster of a mood the past few days and I don't know why… What's with that??? Oh well, I think tonight I'll take a nice hot bubble bath and go to bed early, hopefully that will help!!!

Hope everyone's week is going way better than mine started out!!! Hopefully by Friday it will have turned around…

NEW PICS!!!

So I posted pics of our California trip, accidentally did em backwards so it goes from the end of our trip to the beginning in the gallery…

Anywho, we had a totally awesome time. Kevin was a pretty good host, just next time he needs to let us know when other people won't be there lol, there were 7 of us staying in a 2br apartment for the last 3 days… Needless to say it got kind of crowded- not to mention awkward.

We had an amazingly busy time. Every day we were doing something different! Here's a list of things we did:

Monday:

Pick up our sexy Hyundai Sonata rental car with a sunroof- woowoo!

Breakfast at Carl's Jr

Ronald Reagan Museum and Air Force One tour

Port Hueneme Beach (ghetto!!!)

Lunch at Del Taco

Bogie's Nightclub with some of Kev's work peoples- this club had an amazing atmosphere!!!!

Midnight snack at BJ's- best pizza I have ever had…

Tuesday:

Drove 1.5hrs to visit Grandma and Grandpa Markley, they took us to Omega Burger for lunch, it was pretty good but I was a little dissappointed with it after all the hype it got from Nathan's family…

Drove down Hollywood Blvd on the way back to Kev's.

Smithola's at home for dinner.

Wednesday:

The Getty Museum- I saw my first 3 authentic Monet's here!!! It was amazing, I was in awe. I have always LOVED Monet and to see something that he once stood in front of and brushed it to life was amazing…

Hollywood Blvd- pretty sweet seeing all the stars in the sidewalk :-]

Kodak Theatre tour- this is where the Academy Awards are every year, we actually got to stand ON the stage!!! It was pretty darn sweet :-D

Lunch at Baja Fresh where I had the most amazing salad ever!!! Nathan loved their pork too, they need one here in MN!!!

Drove down Rodeo Drive and saw Paris Hilton!!! Totally awesome.

Took Mulholland Drive part of the way back to Kevin's- amazing views…

Dinner at El Torito Mexican Grill.

Thursday:

Drove through Malibu on the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) and looked at all the amazing mansions.

Santa Monica Pier.

Lunch was at SanSai Japanese Grill.

Dinner was rice, veggies, and Nathan's amazing Frank's drummies.

Went to the Canyon Club with Kev's work peoples and saw the most amazing 80s cover band ever: The Spazmatics.

Kevin went and picked Stacey up from the airport at this time.

Friday- Stacey was with us too:

Lunch with Kevin at Jack in the Box.

The Getty Villa in Malibu.

Santa Monica Pier.

Hollywood Blvd.

We did the SMP and HB again so Stacey could see :-D

Dinner with Kev and Stacey at Marie's Italian Kitchen.

Beer Pong at Kevin's Place.

Saturday:

Universal Studios!!! I loved it here, my favorite thing was Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives, it was so SWEET getting to drive down the street and see the houses first hand!!!

Dinner was Pinkberry on the way home, it's a DELICIOUS frozen yogurt place with fresh berries and other toppings. Nathan and I shared a quesadilla at home later that night too.

Sunday:

Disneyland!!! The happiest place on earth!!! We had a fantabulous time!!! Spent 13hrs there and still didn't see it all… My absolute favorite was Space Mountain- that ride was A M A Z I N G!!! I think that was Nathan's too. We also really liked the Matador, it was a good cuddling ride… We got soaking wet in the morning on Splash Mountain- that totally sucked especially since it was pretty cold out…

Monday:

Lunch at Baja Fresh for me (another amazing Chipotle mango salad!) and El Pollo Loco for Nathan- I tried a small $1 taco here too.

After lunch we picked up Stacey and headed to an outlet mall and went into the Coach store where Stacey and I proceeded to each buy a sexy black purse for way cheaper than normal :-D

Dinner at Islands Restaurant where we had the most amazing fries The good way as the waiter called it, there's a pic in the gallery of em…

Dessert at Pinkberry again, hmmmmm.

11pm- went to airport to catch a flight home :-D

Tuesday:

7am arrive home- LAX lost Nathan's suitcase- losers…

5pm- see The Bucket List

7pm- Go home and see that Nathan's suitcase had been delivered- YAY!!!

Overall we had a really good trip, spent time with wonderful peoples, met lots of new peeps, and ate tons of great food. I'd love to do Cali again someday, but it'll be a while. Want to see Vegas and NY next :-D

Hope ya'll are having a good 2008 so far!!! I know we are!!!

Love,

Our Cali Trip

Well all, it's been super forever since I've updated this… Sitting in Kevin's living room, waiting for him to come home from work so we can party it up :-D

Anywho, we're staying in Thousand Oaks, CA with the best man in our wedding, Kevin… We arrived last night, our plane actually landed 40 minutes early, which has never happened to us before, totally sweet. Kevin actually forgot he was picking us up but when I called him he jumped in his truck right away and headed right over, we didn't have to wait too long…

His apt is awesome, the property is almost like a resort set amid a forested area and mountainview in the distance… We walked into a 60 LCD tv complete with guitar hero.

Today we went to visit the Ronald Reagan Museum and we toured the retired Air Force One there, which was cool but wayyy outdated… Then we set out on a search for the nearest beach, which ended up in a hour drive, but we found one, not the cool one, but we'll visit the cool one soon…

Anywho, Kev just got home and I'm gonna see what the plan is for tonight…
