Sweeeeet!!!

Just won movie tickets to the movie Stardust… Won them through KDWB and we'll be seeing the movie before it even comes out in theatres, we'll be seeing it on Wednesday next week. Kinda exciting and a fun way to spice up a monday. I had entered a thingy online and they called with tickets about 15 minutes later, pretty sweet-o…

Anywho, that's about it…

Wow- Amazing Weekend!!!

First and foremost, let me say hello to my Uncle Steve and comment on how he can't believe that I have a blog~ well here it is Steve and hello to you :-D

Second- we had the most amazing weekend!!!

Friday night we headed up to Two Harbors and we got there and my cousins had set up our tent and air mattress, it was so nice to have that all done for us, especially since we didn't get there until 9pm. We borrowed the rents air mattress and it filled the whole tent, lol, didn't realize it rose like 2 whole feet off the ground once filled, lol…

SAturday we had an amazing breakfast then went to Gooseberry FAlls and walked around, there were soooo many people there though, it was kind of annoying… After that we headed up to Split Rock Lighthouse and had a picnic lunch, once again for the 3rd time, we couldn't go into the lighthouse because no one wanted to pay the $8 admission- I keep telling people about this, but they never want to believe me, oh well… I just go along for the ride :-D

Once we got back to camp we took a walk then laid down for a little rest. We had an awesome dinner of brats, pork chops, chicken, and a bunch of salads, hmmm, I love camping food!!!

After dinner we built a fire and made pies, so good :-D Then Jim and Nathan built a fire on the beach, it was so amazing. Laying out under the stars on a blanket in the sand with waves crashing up on the beach, seriously, you can't get anymore perfect than that…

Sunday morning we got up and had breakfast and headed home…

Last night was the best though!!! Kevin and Stacey came over then we all rode up to Benihana's in Golden Valley in the Z. Oh-My-Goodness!!! Dinner was AMAZING!!!! Nathan and Kevin got steak and shrimp, Stacey got Terriyaki Steak, and I got filet mignon and scallops (they always use scallops on cooking shows and I was so excited to try them!!!)… All our food was so freaking delicious!!! They start you out with soup, then salad, then they make your shrimp appetizer in front of you, then on to the chicken fried rice, then they start making your entrees- all right in front of you!!! Then you finish up with ice cream or sorbet. Yes, it was all sooo good and so fun to watch the chef make all of our nummy foods. There are 8 people to a table, so we sat with 4 people we didn't know, but no big deal… After Benihana's we headed down to Red Robin in Apple Valley, where I had my first ever shot of Tequila (we all did) then we had a a drink while we waited for our movie time to approach, finally we walked over to Carmike and saw The Simpson's Movie. It was great, really funny, and exactly what you expect from a good episode of The Simpson's… After we headed home and crashed in bed… I'm pretty tired today but had an amazing weekend!!!

Tonight, just chilling at home and relaxing… This weekend is Kevin's going away party. He's leaving on August 14 to head out to California where he'll start his new job as a construction manager on September 1, we are going to miss him!!!

Anywho, hope everyone's weekend was great too!

Why hello there…

What's up peeps??? Not much going on here…

Had a super boring and completely unproductive weekend last weekend. I literally did nothing all weekend. Saturday night was the only time I left the house and that was for 2hrs to go rent a movie and pick up some snacks (chili's chips and salsa baby!!!)…

I'm really looking forward to this weekend… Tomorrow after work we are packing up the car and heading up to Two Harbors up past Duluth. We'll be camping with my family, both my uncle's and their families, my grandpa and his wife are coming up to stay in a hotel, and my great grandma is coming up to- she'll be staying in the camper with my mom and sisters. Nathan and I are tenting it, woo-hoo!!! We have a deluxe air mattress though from his parents, so that's pretty sweet…

Sunday night we are going to Benihana's for dinner with Kevin and Stacey, I am super excited, it's supposed to be a really nice restaurant and Kevin made reservations for us. After that we're going to go see The Simpson's Movie. A date like that can not go wrong…

Anywho, hope everyone else has a good weekend too!!! I'm so excited to go camping, I love it!!!

Excellent Thursday…

Had an awesome night last night. :-D

Nathan made his wonderfully delicious hamburgers again, oh my goodness, seriously the best hamburgers I've ever had in my entire life have been made by him!!!

Jess came over and agreed they were great. We played some BBT and ate our dinner outside, it was so nice and relaxing. Then we headed inside and played a couple rounds of hand and foot. I haven't played that in forever, it was fun.

She and Tyler are doing really well. Sounds like they are really getting along well and enjoying the married life. They've been married for a little over 2 months now.

The other day I bought concert tickets for Nathan and I, we're going to see Live, Counting Crows, and the reason I bought the tickets- Collective Soul!!! Nathan LOVES Collective Soul, they are very talented musicians and I like them too. Anywho we are going to that concert on September 1- which is our 6 year anniversary (of our first date). I'm super pumped and it's going to be a great time!!!

Not much else going on, tonight we're going over to the rents again and having a bonfire and might chill in the hot tub. Before that though I'm making steaks on the grill, hmmmm. Also going to start marinating chicken for a jerk chicken recipe- oh man it's going to be so good. But the chicken has to marinate for 24hrs so I'll just be getting it ready to do that…

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
