Our exciting day of travel home started at a very fresh 6 a.m. We finished packing and headed off to breakfast. By the time we were done with breakfast and got back to our room it was time to call a bellboy to get our bags and head for Cancun International. We left the resort around 8:25 a.m.
We were through customs and at the gate for boarding at Cancune International by 10 a.m. We then sat at the gate for almost an hour waiting for the plane to arrive and be emptied of passengers. By about 11:15 a.m. we were taking off and on our way back to our beloved Minnesota, or more or less the US.
We arrived here in Minnesota around 3p.m. A quick pass through customs, a 15 minute stop at the good old baggage claim and another quick pass through customs and we were on our way out of the Hubert H. Humphrey terminal. Amy's mom, Michele, was there waiting to pick us up (Thanks! Michele).
We arrived home at about 4 o'clock. And the great fun of unpacking and cleaning clothes has begun.
Amy and I had a great time in Mexico!!! The El Dorado Royale was an EXCELLENT resort to stay at (Thanks Rita Nickell!). We have tons of pictures we will share with you all later. Unfortunately right now we have a bed that is calling to us and we cannot ignore it.
